Why Gainesville?
We chose to have our wedding in Gainesville because it holds a special place in our hearts. For Amy, it’s where she went to college, creating a meaningful connection to the city. Over time, Gainesville has also become a place we both truly love, filled with memories and new experiences. Planning our wedding here has given us the joy of discovering and rediscovering favorite spots together, making the celebration uniquely ours.

The Wooly
We chose to have our reception at The Wooly in Gainesville because of its unique blend of rustic charm and modern sophistication. The venue’s warm atmosphere and versatile space allowed us to create an intimate yet lively celebration tailored perfectly to our style. Additionally, its central location and excellent amenities made it convenient for our guests and ensured a seamless experience from start to finish. The Wooly provided the ideal backdrop for our special day, combining comfort, character, and exceptional service.

Cocktail Hour - 5:15pm
Reception - 6:15pm-10:15pm
If you choose to drive to the Ceremony, parking options are listed below (same as the options for the Arcade Bar)
Street parking (if you can find it) - Limited metered street parking is available. Parking is complimentary during nights and weekends. Typically, the area experiences reduced activity and quieter conditions in the summer months.
Wells Fargo Parking Garage - ample parking is available approximately two blocks away. It is a short walk (about 2 blocks) to both the Arcade Bar and The Wooly, which also offer paid parking options.
Hampton Inn Parking Garage - Paid spaces available and is about 3 blocks away. This is a good option if you decided to stay at the Hampton inn or the Hyatt Place in downtown.
Shuttle - If you took the shuttle to the ceremony, the same shuttle will be available to you to take you to the cocktail hour at the Wooly. This shuttle will run until 11pm. Returning guests to the Residence Inn parking lot.
Uber and Lyft - If you choose to hang out later in downtown (you might find us at the arcade bar after the wedding) you can always use Uber or Lyft to take you back if the shuttle has stopped running already.
